Consultants can wear multiple hats at one time, but one of the most important hats is the hat of the communicator. They have to communicate deadlines, project statuses, sync updates, delays, good news, bad news, and everything in between. This day and age with so many communication channels (Slack, email, Teams, Zoom, and other internal platforms) its important to stay consistent and ensure you're delivering the right message in the best channel. It is also important to understand the audience of your message; are you delivering an executive summary to the C-Suite or are you doing training for end-users? The way you communicate to those audiences can and should differ. In this session I provide tips and tricks to consultants on ways to communicate effectively across multiple levels of an organization. The session starts off with the classic game of telephone and is a great way to get the audience engaged and ready for the content!
